Ethically-made in France, this is an unusual shoe from Thiviers in the hot south. The starched canvas upper is moulded onto a slightly bungee solid foam sole. There's nothing but a piece of towelling between that and the foot - you might want to add an insole - but above the foot is a breathable fabric to suit hot summers.

Light shoe with no mid-sole and aerated hard rubber outsole on solid patches. Made in the UK, like a cricket boot with a rolling shape & low heel, the shoe causes little damage to turf. This is a great shoe to pack to wear at a meeting, to keep at the office, or to use as a back-up . The upper material is black breathable microfibre glued to a non-woven lining and a thin cushion at the heel. The tartan / foam insoles are removable and can be swapped between your other shoes.

This is an original Solovair-sole, goodyear-welted to a water resistant breathable top. Made in Northamptonshire since 1881. These boots a were inspired by the posters advertising the the Camouflage Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London sponsored by Maharishi. This poll voted two-to-one in favour of taping-over the loose edges, and as the factory is in the UK and can make small batches they are able to do just that and and you can see a picture of it them doing it. This boots have microfibre uppers and three layer soles. The bottom layer is an extra-flexible plastic, less prone to cracking than typical boots in this style. The middle layer is foam and felt (or injected bungee foam in the earliest batches) which adds more bounce than other shoes soles. The top layer is a cellulose board that gradually moulds to the shape of your feet with wear, maximising their own natural bounce.
